Dressember 2019
October 24, 2019

Did you know that wearing a dress could contribute to the fight to end human trafficking?

It can, when it’s part of Dressember!

We’re excited to announce that we have been chosen as a partner for Dressember 2019 this year! Dressember hosts an annual style challenge where men and women take on the creative challenge of wearing a dress or tie every day in December.

It started in 2009, when Blythe Hill, wanting to find some way to contribute to ending sex trafficking, “challenged herself to wear a dress every day of December. Every year since then, more people joined in until Blythe’s one-person challenge blossomed into an international movement to fight sex trafficking.”

This simple act has resulted in over $7.5MM raised for the fight to end human trafficking!

As their website declares,

Every day during December, we wear a dress or tie to bring awareness and collect donations to end slavery and sex trafficking. For one month with the dress as our flag, we will carve a path to a better future for people everywhere.

Your support will fund holistic, life-saving prevention, rescue, and aftercare through our programmatic partners.

This year, your participation in the challenge would help support our mission to help end child sex trafficking, as they have selected us as one of their partners. So if you want to help raise funds for the fight to end trafficking, and are looking for a novel way to do it, the Dressember style challenge is a fun and easy way to make a difference and get involved.

Simply make a campaign page on their website, set a goal and start spreading the word. You can join a team, start your own team or do the challenge solo. Dressember will provide you with resources and stories to motivate, equip and encourage you along the way. Find out more and sign up at Dressember.org.
