Donor-Advised Funds

The simple, easy way to build a legacy of supporting children’s freedom from trafficking and exploitation.

What is a donor-advised fund (DAF)?

A is a tax-advantaged way to make a charitable donation, giving donors more flexibility in the method of funding their donation (via cash, stocks, or other assets) and the ability to specify how the fund is to be invested.

DAFs generally allow for more immediate income tax deductions and potentially reduce capital gains taxes and estate taxes. Recurring gifts can be made easily and your investment can grow, tax-free, over time. It’s a simple, yet impactful way to leave a charitable legacy.

Clients of DAF’s at BNY Mellon, Fidelity Charitable and Schwab Charitable can make a designation to The Freedom Story through the DAF Direct window on this page.
