Stock
Giving stock is a powerful way to make an impact—often allowing you to give more at no additional cost. By donating appreciated stock, you can avoid capital gains taxes and potentially receive a larger tax deduction, all while protecting vulnerable children. To initiate a stock gift, please give here.
Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A donor-advised fund allows provides an immediate tax deduction when you contribute and recommend grants to charities. If you have a DAF, you can easily recommend a grant to The Freedom Story (EIN: 26-1587576). Log in to your DAF portal and search for “The Freedom Story.” With a DAF, you can even give appreciated stock or assets for additional tax advantages like avoiding capital gains taxes. Cryptocurrency
We also accept crypto donations. In addition to tax advantages, this is a flexible way to make a donation. You can make a crypto gift securely here. When you give cryptocurrency instead of selling it, you avoid capital gains tax, which can increase the total amount of your donation.
